just got back from a much needed trip up north. spent my days days shooting with Danielle at one of the coolest weddings i’ve ever had the pleasure of being at and playing in the city. we had such a blast shooting this together and our collaboration couldn’t have been more smooth. it always helps when the pressure of shooting the biggest day in someones life is speckled with some laughter to remind you why you’re there. this whole weekend was full of girl talk. the Ellen stand up DVD and dorky photography conversation. i really had such a great time- the bestest mix of business and friendship. thanks D.
least i forget, i had some of the best food ive had in a long time. Angelina met up with us after the wedding and the morning after we had the pleasure of eating at Mama’s, and i kid you not, the dodging of pigeon poop from above and the 2 hour wait was completely and utterly worth it. id do it again in a heartbeat. the girls couldnt stop talking about the Monte Cristo so i asked Angelina to pull off the ham and give me a quarter. heaven in a breakfast sandwhich. im drooling now just typing about it…
the icing on the cake was coming home and remembering how it feels to be missed. i just never know how that feels anymore except in the presence of my parents. i walked through the door and Jack put his hands over his mouth and just stared at me like he didnt think i was real. it was just a perfect little ending to a perfect little trip.
*for the record, this is not Danielle’s house. its not even her neighbors house. but if its your house, we loved your garage door. xo

Danielle Vander Leun - One of the best 10 minute breaks I’ve ever had.
Shannon - totally and completely.
Tara - Danielle is cute and you are cute and I like that garage door too. And I know exactly why that wait in line was so great and I wish I could have been there too. HA
Shannon - someday sexy friend. someday.
jacqueline - I love the garage door too!
