fifty-two on fridays: week 15 | temecula photographer

i spent the whole week with shooting something for this week’s 52 on Fridays theme with my macro lens in mind but nothing ever struck my eye. sometimes when you’re looking too hard for something, you end up defeating yourself. i sure feel that pressure now with this 40+ week baby girl in my belly. neither one of my other kids made it to their due date and of course this one would surpass it. we keep giggling wonder what this will mean for her disposition. more than likely, when we’re trying to leave somewhere she’ll be the last one out of the house making us late time and time again.

i woke up this morning and made Ru her regular breakfast of a bowl of dry cereal and a sippy full of milk. she plopped herself on the couch and sat in the only slice of light coming in through the screen door. her hair in its regular state of disarray shouted “texture” to me. no macro shot, but oh so definitely texture. i never have been able to figure out how her hair gets this way. whenever i go to check on her at night, shes in the same position i layed her down in. its like little trolls sneak in her room and make a nest out of her whispy blonde strands…
