this week’s 52 on fridays challenge was to shoot a stranger. i carried my trusty camera with me a few places this week waiting for the right comfortable moment to approach a complete and total stranger and ask to take portrait of them. totally comfortable, right? um, no. not at all. especially with one kid in the baby bjorn and holding the hand of the two other small ones all the while making small promises of candy and ice cream if we could just get through this one errand. CVS and Trader Joes just didn’t feel like the right place. bad lighting and people i may run into again- not the combo of a successful shot. luckily, another opportunity presented itself…
sadly enough, the end of the school year is approaching for Jack and we took him to his last field trip before summer to the Temecula Berry Co this week. if you happen to live in the area, it is an awesome experience to take your kids to pick their own blueberries and meet Farmer Mike and the rest of the berry gang. below is an image i took of one of the farmers while he was teaching the kids about the farm and how to pick the right berries. (yeah and that was right after Ruby got kicked out of the “circle of trust” for throwing hay at the kids of the school she doesn’t even attend. sweet. serenity now.)
im looking forward to sharing the recipe with you next week for Blueberry Crisp that ill be making this weekend from our fresh picked bunch…yum…

below are some more fun shots from our visit to the blueberry farm. make sure to see the rest of my fine friends “STRANGER” shots, starting here at Wendy VonSosen | Bay Area Photographer…
